By Rose Dommu July 30 Sometimes it's a complaint about annoying bachelorette parties who harass and tokenize men who are simply trying to dance and hook up. Sometimes it's a guy saying he doesn't feel comfortable having sex at a sex party if there are women around. Sometimes it's some older gay man saying, "There should be no fish allowed.
No Dear, You’re Not A Gay Man Trapped In A Woman’s Body
“When a Gay Boy Falls in Love with a Girl” – P.S. I Love You
That message resonates loud and clear from the mainstream media. Hardly a day goes by without straight men debating what it means to be a man now that women are becoming more powerful and male privilege is being eroded. Over the past fortnight, some have even whined about the widespread outrage ignited by women who have been sexually exploited finally taking a stand against their oppressors. Well, first of all, they need to get over themselves. But what about gay men and our relationship with our masculinity? Why are we usually left out of the discussion about what it means to be a man?
It's OK guys, just admit it - half of you are not 100% straight
Straight, gay, pansexual, asexual, transsexual, hetero-flexible, bisexual; the endless list of sexual identities surely indicates society is heading in an ever-more inclusive direction, right? Yet there are still some social barriers that refuse to budge - especially for those people who aren't entirely sure of their own sexuality. Sexuality is often described as a spectrum; some people identify as entirely straight and others as entirely gay. However many people lie somewhere in that sizeable grey area between the two, and it seems that more young people than ever are realising they are in that number:
The craziest and most absurd issue that will arise, is that some of them will hate to discover that their heart will in fact fall in love with a woman. For some of those men, when their heart chooses for them who it will love, they in fact will never have had any sexual relations with a woman before up to that point in life. The gay boy whose heart chooses the girl over another boy, will more likely spend the rest of his life in misery.
Don't know who's out there on the field right now to handle a message, but if there's anybody out there have you ever gotten to use the chat option on this or is it just some BS smoking mirrors that never ends up getting fixed.
